Breast Augmentation, also known as breast enlargement, is a plastic surgery procedure which uses implants to enhance the size and shape of the breasts. Breast augmentation is one of the most popular plastic surgery procedures performed today, and it continually produces satisfied and extremely pleased patients.
The Mastopexy, more commonly referred to as a breast lift, is a surgical procedure designed to lift sagging tissue on the chest. Breasts may begin to droop after pregnancy, breast-feeding, with weight loss, or due to the normal aging process. During a Mastopexy, excess skin and fat is eliminated, the breasts are raised to a youthful level, and when needed, the nipples are repositioned. A breast lift can be performed alone, or combined with a breast augmentation to restore a youthful physique.
Women with large, pendulous breasts can experience a variety of issues, including discomfort during physical activities, back pain, and shoulder strain. A large chest can also cause embarrassment and a loss of self-esteem. The breast reduction procedure is designed to decrease the unwanted tissue, creating a more proportionate chest for a woman’s frame. If necessary, the nipples can be repositioned during the breast reduction procedure, creating an aesthetically pleasing chest.
Breast implant revision surgery is a cosmetic procedure performed to correct and improve previous breast augmentation surgeries.
Breast implant exchange is a procedure which involves the removal of previous implants, and replacing them with new ones. This procedure is frequently used today to exchange older saline implants for the more natural feeling silicone gel implants. Breast implant exchange may also be performed to remove and replace older implants which have encapsulated or become displaced.
Breast implant removal is performed to reverse a prior breast augmentation and to change the shape or size of a woman’s breasts based on her personal cosmetic goals. Implant removal may also be recommended due to complications, including infection or capsular contracture.
