Radiesse Before & Afters
Say Goodbye to
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Formerly known as Radiance, Radiesse is an innovative soft tissue filler made from a smooth, calcium-based gel used to effectively sculpt features and reshape facial contours. When injected beneath the surface of the skin, Radiesse creates a scaffolding effect that encourages and supports new collagen growth. As a result, your skin’s foundation will be rebuilt, resulting in a natural, healthier appearance.
How Radiesse Can Help
Visiting Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery for your consultation gives Dr. Vitenas the opportunity to learn about you and your goals. He can then guide you to the treatment option that is right for you. The results that are created by Radiesse are long-lasting and do not involve the risks that can sometimes be associated with other permanent fillers or implants. Radiesse can effectively be used to non-surgically accomplish a number of exciting goals:
- Sculpt the jawline and facial features
- Create contoured cheekbones
- Eliminate dark hollows beneath the eyes
- Correct aging hands
Is Radiesse Right for Me?
THE RADIESSE PROCEDURE
Radiesse is applied in a private treatment room by Dr. Paul Vitenas, an expert injector and experienced plastic surgeon. The entire procedure takes 60 minutes or less to complete.
The injectable will be placed immediately below the skin, through a series of injections with a very fine needle. Depending on where the filler is placed, a local anesthetic may be used to increase and maintain your comfort levels.
YOUR RECOVERY AND RESULTS
Your recovery period will be temporary. Many patients experience slight redness and mild swelling after a Radiesse treatment, but these issues will fade quickly.
You’ll be free to return to your usual activities right after your treatment, with no restrictions. The benefits of one Radiesse treatment can last up to two years or longer, depending on the treatment area.
Radiesse FAQ
What is Radiesse?
Radiesse is an injectable filler, used to reshape the facial contours and restore a more youthful appearance. Comprised of a calcium-based gel, the filler creates a scaffolding effect under the skin by encouraging and supporting new collagen growth. Radiesse can be used to eliminate dark hollows beneath the eyes, create defined cheekbones, fill in deep creases, and sculpt the jawline.
What is Radiesse made from?
Radiesse is created from tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, that are suspended in an aqueous gel. The unique makeup of Radiesse ensures consistent, dramatic results.
Who makes a good potential patient for Radiesse?
Radiesse can benefit both men and women who are experiencing a loss of facial volume, as well as those looking to bring balance to their facial features.
Where will my Radiesse injections be performed?
All injectables, including Radiesse, are administered in a comfortable, private treatment room at Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery, on the corner of Richmond Avenue and Drexel Street in Houston.
Is Radiesse a painful procedure?
Discomfort tends to be minimal with the Radiesse treatment, although a local anesthetic may be used, depending on the treatment area.
How is the Radiesse procedure performed?
A thin needle is used to inject the Radiesse beneath the skin.
How long should I expect my Radiesse treatment to take?
Radiesse injections are generally quite quick, with each session typically taking less than an hour to complete.
What can be expected from my Radiesse recovery period?
Some slight redness and mild swelling may occur after the Radiesse injection. These side-effects can be expected to quickly resolve on their own. Normal activities can be resumed on the same day as the application, without restrictions.
When can I go back to work after getting Radiesse injections?
You’ll be free to return to work or your other normal activities on the same afternoon as your Radiesse treatment. However, as mild swelling and redness are common following the injections, some patients will wait until the following day before going back to work.
How long will the benefits of Radiesse last?
You can expect your results to last up to two years. However, the benefits may last longer in some areas of the face.
Are there potential complications from Radiesse?
Radiesse is a safe procedure with few serious risks. Like all injectable procedures, there is always a possibility of bruising and swelling. Complications such as facial asymmetry, infection, and nerve damage are rare.
What is the price of Radiesse?
How can I pay for my Radiesse injections?
At Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery, patients have the choice of paying with cash or all major credit cards. Additionally, our office accepts medical financing through CareCredit and Alpheon Credit. We encourage you to reach out and speak with a patient coordinator for additional information.
